The antique Mahogany finish is a dark chocolate brown, with red and gold undertones.

Mahogany is my darkest stain option. Text and monochrome art will not stand out as prominently as on other finishes. The varnish does highlight every detail, and that helps to brighten art and text, but it will be a more subtle effect.
